Who's Next?

This is a video I directed for my friend Taren, an amazing artist who is also the lo-fi music maker "Magicvan". Shot in his flat in August 2009 in around 4 hours. How else can you bring together porn, snails, a casio VL-Tone keyboard and chappati dough? I shot it on a sony mini Dv cam, cut in Final Cut Pro and added effects and grading in After Effects. He paid me £20 for the privelege of covering his face in a shroud. Everyone's a winner.

SOUL x FASHION

I'm in the process of writing an article for the fashion and style magazine SCHON!

It's all about my obsesion with vinyl- the cover art, the smell, the photography, but mostly the style- the way the whole package comes together and creates something that is so much more than the sum of its parts. As part of the article I've had to take photos of some of my favourite album covers- I chose over 60 from the 3,000+ records I own. Here's a "moodboard" of 20.

I've been playing around with the Hipstamatic app for iphone - it's got some great features and it beats faffing around with a Lomo.
